Business will:
– Embrace a company-wide understanding of inclusive language and its impact on customer experience
– Celebrate your inclusivity with your customers and the public
– Ensure that each member of staff has an action to take away from the training, to sustain your inclusivity
– Assess the physical accessibility of both your premises and online presence
– Understand the impact of accessibility on customer/staff experience
– Demonstrate your reflective nature as an organisation that listens to customer feedback, with a feedback report developed by a disabled-persons led organisation
– Increase your awareness of and access to the Purple Pound (the spending power of disabled people – currently nearly £300 billion per year UK-wide)
– Reflect on your values and their day-to-day application to ensure that inclusive practice is embedded throughout your organisation
– Sign up to the Government’s Disability Confident commitments
– Identify at least one action that you will carry out as a Disability Confident Committed employer (Level 1)*
– Have a Disability Confident badge and certificate for your public display
