Corporate Training Sessions Available
Oliver McGowan Tier 2
The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism is named after Oliver McGowan, whose death shone a light on the need for health and social care staff to have better training. The Health and Care Act 2022 introduced a statutory requirement that regulated service providers must ensure their staff receive learning disability and autism training appropriate to their role.
It is the government’s preferred and recommended training for health and social care staff. This Tier 2 training is co-delivered by trainers with lived experiences of learning disabilities and autism. It is a standardised package approved by the government, ensuring consistency and recognition across health and care sector employers.

Hate Crime Workshops
We discuss different types of Hate Crimes, the legal implications and how to help prevent and report such incidents.
We can deliver this type of session alongside other local organisations, such as those representing different genders, cultures and races.
Inclusive Language Training
Learn more about how the use of language affects people from all walks of life. Improve your inclusive language knowledge and learn to embed good practices throughout your organisation. Our session is delivered by people with lived experience of disability.
Inclusive Sports Session
Our team will introduce students to various inclusive sports that can be adapted to suit all abilities. We teach students not only to play different sports but also to be able to safely and effectively lead them to others.
Disability Awareness Badge
Our team will work with your group members to deliver engaging activities and interactive sessions. Topics include Basic Sign Language, Adapted Equipment and Designing an Inclusive World. We will introduce group members to a range of inclusive sports, as well as ways to support the social inclusion of any person.
Dating & Relationships
We will work with your group to give them the opportunity to improve their understanding around the form that different relationships can take, how to prepare for going on a date and what to do when on a date. This will be led by someone with experience of dating and relationships, from the point of view of a disabled person.
Book Reading Session
Our team can offer a unique experience for children and young people. We will read a child-friendly book about a long-term health condition, based on real-life experience, followed by engaging discussions and educational activities. We will even donate a book to your school/community group.
